Barnabus

Barnabus is an upcoming mobile app that aims to revolutionize the bar industry and reinvent nightlife.

Conceptualized by a former New York City bartender who knows all too well what it’s like to prepare for a busy shift only to end up having the slowest night ever, it directly connects bartenders with guests, so those barstools will never sit empty. Bar guests will no longer have to rely on word-of-mouth or cluttered social media platforms to find out what’s happening tonight at the local dive. With Barnabus, bartenders can promote their same-day events on the only app that’s made specifically for them, without all the noise that comes with other event-directory platforms.

The founders wanted an identity system that portrayed its core values of community and sharing joy with a light-hearted, playful feel. With these values in mind, the identity is a nod to ‘90s pop-culture and feel-good nostalgia, inspired by the likes of cartoon title treatments and classic board games. The brand illustrations emphasize the company’s commitment to sharing joy within a bar atmosphere, with imagery of cocktails, disco balls, and people dancing. The color palette echoes the ambiance of a bar, with a flashy lime green set against a backdrop of dark shades.
